Anthony Horowitz

Anthony Horowitz

I just finished a book by one of my favorite authors. And I watched a TV series by another favorite author.

I didn’t realize it, but the book and TV series were written by the same person, along with some of my other favorite books and shows. The writer of all these works is Anthony Horowitz.

The book I just finished was Marble Hall Murders, featuring Horowitz’s quirky detective Atticus Pund, his own version of Agatha Christie’s detective, Hercule Poirot. In Horowitz’s unique and delightful style, he creates a story within a story—in this case, Punt inside a book about editor Susan Reyland.

The TV series I watched was Foyle’s War, a thrilling study of a detective in Great Britain, solving mysteries during World War II.

I also enjoyed Midsomer Murders, a Horowitz show I watched before I knew who he was.

And Horowitz wrote TV shows about Sherlock Holmes and books about James Bond.

This list of titles is short, compared to the dozens of other books, TV shows, and movies written by Anthony Horowitz.

He tells stories, and I enjoy reading and watching them. You never know where they’re going to pop up.
